Flow Testing:

The District has the ability to calculate water flow using a variety of methods depending on site conditions. Obviously, the well must have a pump installed and plumbed in a manner to allow it to flow without shutting off for a few hours or so.

When the wall thickness of piping is known and straight sections of pipe are present, the District can utilize a non-invasive transit-time flowmeter that is strapped to the exterior of the pipe. It is relatively accurate under ideal conditions. When the wall thickness is not known or no straight pipe is accessible, the District can either use open pipe flow or volumetric methods.

If you desire to have your well flow tested, please contact us and we will schedule a time to check the well and determine the best manner of testing.
